About The Fish..

It's really hard to explain, but somehow the fries seem to be growing faster and faster since being moved to the bigger tank. What's more, they're even developing the "jewel" colouration on their bodies, which is really amazing to see.
The parents have also begun a new spawning cycle, eggs have been spotted again on the gravel. The number of eggs is also looking healthier than the previous unfertilised batch. My only concern is that the female chose a spot rather close to the filter to lay her eggs. But, I don't think it will be much of a problem, based on previous experience.
I also suspect that my original batch of micro-worms has crashed, but I can't be sure. Perhaps it was my inexperience with mixing the baby food mush. I'll have a look at it tomorrow and if need be start a new batch from the back-up culture. I'm really glad I took the advice of the seller and started a back-up batch, because the original batch was doing fine yesterday, but crashed unexpectedly.
